Thanks

The importance of thanking lineage teachers.

We're not alone when we pray or practice. Whether we call them Angels, Saints, Higher Guides, Protectors etc., the Ancestors watch over us and support us along our spiritual path.

It is important to acknowledge the origin of the teachings we have received. This underlines their precious and unique character, and expresses our gratitude to those lineages that enable us to grow today.

Giving thanks is part of the "giving/receiving" concept.

To give thanks is to transmit nourishing energy to those who are still walking this earth and those who have already left, so that we in turn can receive what is good for us in the rightness and harmony of the circle of all our relationships.

Thanks from Blue Eagle

My gratitude goes out to the many teachers who have mentored me over the years, with special thanks to

  • Sun Bear of the Chippewa Nation,
  • Tall Warrior of the Mohawks,
  • Wampanoag sachems Slow Turtle and Manitonquat,
  • William Commanda, Algonquin spiritual elder,
  • N’tsukw of the Innus,
  • Falling Wind by the Métis of Saskatchewan,
  • Dhyani Ywahoo and Silver Fox from the Cherokees.

I thank Oh Shinnah of the Tenehs (Apaches) for permission to sing some of the beautiful songs she carries and for her valuable teachings.

All these lineages of teachers have made it possible for the practices and knowledge presented on this website to endure and reach you, while everything was in place to silence these voices/ways forever.

With gratitude and appreciation.

AHO !

Please note:  Aigle Bleu rarely takes photos himself. His personal photos are often taken by family, friends or students.  This is why we had to resort to the Internet to complete the photos of Blue Eagle's main teachers.
